Nibs

Thu Oct 22, 2009, 8:51 PM
I switched to a hard nib on my intuos4 because I was afraid I was wearing it down too much. That was stupid of me. The hard nibs have no feedback whatsoever. It feels like you are drawing on plastic using plastic. It's ok to paint with it but drawing is difficult. It's hard to describe, but, you just don't have a feel for where the heck your hand is going to go. I'm extracting the nib right now. Seriously, Wacom should make cheaper nibs. But forget nibs. $80 pens. Seriously? The default pen on the intuos4 doesn't have pen tilt, and you need to buy the Art Pen, which costs $100 and looks identical to the default pen.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
